Tour de Technopolis 2016
The event will bring together sports and biking enthusiasts from all over Technopolis. We’re hoping to attract people from all 6 countries and 21 campuses where Technopolis currently operates. The event is free of charge to all our customers, partners and other stakeholders.
Participants are not insured by Technopolis. The event is not timed. We are riding on public roads which are open to traffic.
The 100 kilometer ride will start from Technopolis Innopoli campus in Espoo heading to Technopolis Aviapolis (Vantaa) campus passing some picturesque Northern Espoo scenery. At Aviapolis some snacks and refreshments are served. From Aviapolis we will ride back to the Technopolis Innopoli campus in Espoo. Participants will get the route map before the event. Preferred Bike is a road bike, but also other bikes such a cyclocross or hybrid can be used.
The Tour de Technopolis route can be downloaded here as a .gpx format. You can use it to get the route to your biking device to follow. If you need further support on how to add the .gpx file to your device please use your device manufactures support. Download the route here.

We ride in three speed groups. Choose your group when registering to the event. The speeds are indicative and depends on weather and traffic conditions.
Fast group (30 km+/hour)
Fitness group (28-30 km/hour)
Recreational (26-28 km/hour)
9:00 Registration opens at Technopolis Innopoli 1, Espoo
9:45–10:00 Welcoming words by Technopolis CEO Keith Silverang, partner pitches and route overview & instructions
11:00–12:00 Break and snack at Technopolis Aviapolis, Vantaa (30 km)
12:30–13:30 Break at Lahnus Shell (70 km)
14:00–15:00 Return to Technopolis Innopoli 1, Espoo.
14:00–16:00 Light lunch will be served. You are welcome to use the sauna and shower after the tour. We provide towels.
15:00 Charity auction of the Team Rynkeby bike owned by Keith Silverang for Sylva ry.
